Michelle Goodrum, CG®, is a genealogical researcher and educator whose journey into family history began with a junior high project. When she uncovered ancestral roots stretching across countless regions, she was hooked. Michelle went on to earn her Certified Genealogist® credential from the Board for Certification of Genealogists in 2023. She teaches in Boston University’s Genealogical Certificate Program, where she is also a certificate holder. Additionally, she serves as a facilitator for BU’s Principles Course. Her commitment to genealogical education extends to her role as a Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy committee member. Michelle holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Washington. She and her husband enjoy splitting their time between Mesa, Arizona, and Freeland, Washington.
