This lecture provides information on the rich collection of genealogical sources in the Maryland State Archives. This talk will help you prepare for a trip to the archive and know what is available online.
The Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG) in conjunction with Legacy Family Tree will present “Maryland State Archives Decoded” by Rebecca Koford, CG®, CGL℠, live and free to the public, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, April 21, 2020. Rebecca holds credentials as a Certified Genealogist® and as a Certified Genealogical Lecturer℠. Her focuses are Maryland and military records at the National Archives. She has articles in the NGS Magazine, APG Magazine, SAR Magazine, and the Maryland Genealogical Society Journal. Rebecca is the Course I coordinator for The Institute of Genealogical and Historical Research (IGHR). She is administrator of the ProGen Study Group, an online study program based on the book Professional Genealogy. Rebecca is Executive Director of the Board for Certification of Genealogists® and will begin as Director of the Genealogical Institute on Federal Records (Gen-Fed) in 2021.
